This Privacy Policy explains how Lift Debt ("the app"), developed by Denis, handles your information. The app is designed to keep your financial data private and under your control.

1. Information We Collect

The app collects only what you provide:

Account information — your email address, used to create and authenticate your account.
Profile information — your name and profile photo (optional), monthly income, preferred currency, and language.
Debt and financial data — debt names, balances, interest rates, minimum payments, due dates, payment history, and the bank name (if you choose to enter one).
Feedback — if you submit feedback through the app, we collect the message and its category.

2. Information Stored Locally

The following data is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to any server:

File attachments you add to debts
App preferences (sort order, PIN settings, recurring payment configuration)
Notification schedules
Account and routing numbers, if you choose to enter them

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide the app's features:

Authenticating you and syncing your data across devices
Displaying your debts, payment history, and financial insights
Sending local payment reminders (no push notifications are used)
Responding to feedback you submit

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except as required to operate the app:

Supabase — our backend provider, used for account authentication and secure cloud storage of your debt data and settings. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
Ko-fi — if you choose to make a donation, you will be directed to Ko-fi's website. We do not receive or store your payment information. Ko-fi's privacy policy is available at ko-fi.com/privacy.

5. Data Security

Your data is protected with row-level security on the backend, meaning each user can only access their own data. The app also supports PIN lock and Face ID / Touch ID to prevent unauthorized local access.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Access — all your data is visible to you directly within the app.
Deletion — you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time via Settings → Delete Account. This action is irreversible.
Local data — you can clear locally stored data by uninstalling the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Lift Debt is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
